This brush is just the right level of rigidity for smudging crayon eye liner. The brush is good for blending eyeliner with shadow as well.
It cleans well with basic brush soap and dries relatively quickly. Good brush.
Smudge Makeup Brush Eye Shadow Brush
This brush is perfect for smudging out your eyeliner for a smokey look. It has short, dense fibers that move the shadow around with precision. I can easily get my liner in the right place and in the right amount. The handle is the right length and well balanced. It is super soft and at just the right density.
Be sure to wash these in cold water and gentle soap before using them. I usually reshape the bristles and lay them flat to dry. Don't dry them standing up because that will cause the glue to fail. These didn't shed (unlike one super-expensive brush that makes me angry to this day).
One note: the package instructions do say to clean the brush before use.
This is a really firm and dense little shadow brush! Smudging is a breeze! It would work great for a liner brush too. I haven’t tested it personally for this yet, although I do really want to! It is firm enough for liner makeup application I definitely believe. It is feels firm and sturdy enough in my opinion.
I like this brush. It really is a good brand! It is not cheaply made like some other brushes I’ve tried. It seems very well crafted. It’s lightweight too. I’d be interested in a regular eyeshadow application brush in this brand. I think that would be very dense and well crafted as well. I recommend this brush and brand!
This is a well-made smudge brush. My eyes are small, so I like to apply the liner in a wider line, but soften it so it does not look harsh. You need just the right brush for smudging. This brush seems to meet those needs. It has the shorter and denser layers of bristles that can help achieve that smudged look.
The bristles on this brush are synthetic and soft. Due to their shorter length, they allow me to move the eyeliner around before it totally dries without making a smeared mess. If you haven’t smudged your liner before, it takes a bit of practice with the right tools. The bristles on this brush are all secured in a silver aluminum ferrule so they will not fall out.
I would absolutely recommend this smudge brush to others. It gets 5 stars from me!
This is the perfect brush to pack on loose pigments and glitters because it's very dense and it picks up a lot of product.
Yes they are. Most of the bristles used in our makeup brushes are synthetic. We do have a select few eye brushes that are natural bristles, and they too are cruelty free.
We recommend you clean your brushes with a mild soap and olive oil. Never submerge the brush and allow them to air dry in an open space.
